Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.(English follows after Japanese)職務概要当社の環境・安全・衛生(EHS)部門において、生産施設における安全管理全般を担当します。設備・工事・保守作業に伴う安全リスクの低減、法令および社内安全基準の遵守を通じて、事故・災害の未然防止と安全で持続可能な職場環境の構築を推進する役割です。主な業務内容生産施設・設備に関する安全基準・手順(PTW、LOTO、高所作業、閉鎖空間、電気安全等)の策定、維持、改善工事・設備保守・改造作業における安全管理およびリスクアセスメントの実施・支援労働安全衛生法、建設・設備関連法規、社内EHS基準に基づくコンプライアンス対応事故・ヒヤリハットの調査、原因分析および再発防止策の立案・実行請負業者(コントラクター)およびベンダーに対する安全管理、教育、現場パトロール新規設備導入、設備変更、工事計画時の安全レビューおよび事前リスク評価安全教育・トレーニング(設備安全、作業安全、請負業者向け教育等)の企画・実施グローバルEHS安全基準および国際規格との整合性確保、関係部門との連携応募資格工学(機械・電気・建築等)、安全工学、衛生工学、または関連分野の学士以上または上記分野以外の学士であっても、実務で同等と見なせる知識・経験がある方日本語能力として、JLPT N3 以上を必須とし、N2 以上の資格保持者を歓迎労働安全衛生法、設備・工事安全、請負業者管理に関する基礎知識製造業・生産施設・建設/設備工事における安全管理経験リスクアセスメント、現場安全パトロール、事故調査の実務経験(歓迎) 衛生管理者、安全管理者、建設業関連安全資格ISO45001 内部監査員、電気安全・機械安全関連資格工場・クリーンルーム・大規模施設でのEHS経験求める人物像現場に入り込み、実効性のある安全対策を推進できる方設備・工事関係者、請負業者と適切に連携し、安全文化を醸成できる方リスクを論理的に整理し、優先順位をつけて対応できる方グローバルEHS基準や最新の安全技術・法規に関心を持ち、継続的に学べる方英語による簡単なコミュニケーションが可能な方コミュニケーション能力が高く、チームでの協働を重視できる方Job SummaryThe EHS Safety Engineer is responsible for overall safety management of production facilities within the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) organization.This role focuses on reducing safety risks associated with equipment, construction, and maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal safety standards.The position plays a key role in preventing accidents and incidents, and in establishing and maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve safety standards and procedures related to production facilities and equipment(e.g., Permit to Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), work at height, confined space, electrical safety)Provide safety management support and conduct risk assessments for construction, equipment maintenance, and modification activitiesEnsure compliance with the Industrial Safety and Health Act, construction- and equipment-related regulations, and internal EHS standardsInvestigate accidents and near-miss incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actionsManage safety performance of contractors and vendors, including safety education and on-site safety patrolsConduct safety reviews and pre-task risk assessments for new equipment installation, equipment changes, and construction planningPlan and deliver safety education and training programs (equipment safety, work safety, contractor safety, etc.)Ensure alignment with global EHS safety standards and applicable international standards, and collaborate with relevant internal stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, etc.), Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related fieldor a bachelor’s degree in another discipline with equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practical workJapanese language proficiency of JLPT N3 or higher is required; JLPT N2 or higher is preferredBasic knowledge of the Industrial Safety and Health Act, equipment and construction safety, and contractor safety managementExperience in safety management at manufacturing sites, production facilities, or construction/equipment projectsPractical experience in risk assessment, on-site safety patrols, and accident investigationPreferred qualifications: Safety Officer, Industrial Safety Manager, or construction safety-related certificationsISO 45001 Internal Auditor, electrical safety or machinery safety-related certificationsEHS experience in factories, cleanrooms, or large-scale facilitiesDesired AttributesAbility to engage directly with worksites and drive practical, effective safety improvementsStrong collaboration skills to work effectively with equipment engineers, construction teams, and contractors to foster a strong safety cultureAbility to logically assess risks, prioritize issues, and take appropriate actionStrong interest in global EHS standards, as well as emerging safety technologies and regulations, with a commitment to continuous learningAbility to communicate at a basic level in EnglishStrong communication skills and a team-oriented mindsetAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
