history

1974年の前身会議からの沿革

AVSの部門史ページには、1974年にVacuum Metallurgy Division（VMD）が開いたConference on Structure/Property Relationships in Thick Films and Bulk Coatingを起点として、1975年にInternational Conference on Metallurgical Coatings（ICMC）へ改称した経緯が書かれています。1990年にInternational Conference on Thin Filmsと共催し、1991年にICMCTFへ改称、2000年にVMDがASEDへ改組されました。同ページは初回会議の規模を31編としています。R.F.
